About the Presenters:
Ms. Stellinga is a master’s level therapist whose private practice is located in Sioux Falls, SD. She has worked in the counseling field for 20 years in many different capacities, including outpatient & home-base therapy or working in group homes or schools.   She currently works with adults who struggle with depression & anxiety as well as with children and families in the post-adoption process. She speaks to parent organizations, churches and professionals in the mental health field.   She uses metaphor and stories to teach the listener the many different ways that adoption affects the brain of the adopted child and ultimately the family system. You will learn interventions to facilitate your child’s growth and possibly your own!
Mary Weber is a master’s level therapist with more than 25 years of experience working with victims of trauma, abuse and neglect. She holds a bachelor’s degree is in Child Development and Family Relations and a master’s degree is in Counseling and Human Resource Development, both from South Dakota State University. Through individual, group, and family therapy, Mary helps children and adults find their voice, gain the strength to share their stories, and realize that their hurts don’t need to define who they are or break them. She has experience in working with the very young to elderly.
